This is a beautiful piece, an Infinity symbol with the Eye of Horus. It is antique silver plated (zinc alloy) on an eighteen (18) inch chain.

Archimedes first wrote about the infinity symbol more than 2300 years ago. It originates from the latin infinitas, meaning un-boundedness.  Infinity is the concept of endlessness or limitlessness.

According to ancient Egyptian mythology, Horus lost his left eye in a struggle with Seth. The goddess Hathor magically restored the eye, and this restoration came to symbolize the process of making whole and healing and is often used in amulets.

Horus was a god in the form of a falcon whose right eye was the sun or morning star, representing power and quintessence, and whose left eye the moon or evening star, representing healing.
